Transport for London

At the start of the project VIS had to analyse the undocumented / faulty original application and redesign the SQL Server database, and design (from a blank sheet) an N-Tier Visual Basic solution. The purpose was to produce a reliable, fast and maintainable application that could meet as many of the customer needs - within the given timescales.

The timescales required a robust object model (which would maximise code re-use) and to take advantage of automated code generation.

VIS managed client communications, changing requirements, clarification of ambiguous old functionality, differing developer skills, and the need for a good product - all in the 6 month timeframe.

The quality and attention to detail of the final product lead to further work.
